Nathan's 2nd B-day

We celebrated Nathan's 2nd birthday yesterday.  Here are some pictures.   

Haircut

I forgot to tell you that I got a haircut.  Now my hair only reaches my shoulders.  I kinda like it, and I use way less shampoo & conditioner. 

Stuff to do

Besides the stuff that I HAVE to do, there is a lot of stuff I WANT to do.   I want to work on my cross stitch.  I want to carefully paint the moldings in the blue room.   I want to finish reading The Pelican Brief book.  There's still quite a bit to do on each of those 3.  My priority is the painting... but I only like to do that in the daylight, so that leaves weekends and maybe an hour when I get home from work.  I am anxious to get that room situated, because my Aunt Sue, Uncle Bob and 2 cousins are spending a night here in a few weeks.  Then my parents will visit the weekend following that.  Our weekends are pretty booked for the next month or so.

Philadelphia News

The Temple Owls made the NCAA tournament.  It's pretty exciting news here on campus. 

A bridge on 95 had to undergo emergency repairs this morning.  There is a huge crack in one of the supports.  95 is completely shut down in one spot... and it threw off the traffic pattern this morning for many people.  Not me though, I take the train.

Rally Pics

The Clinton rally was pretty cool.  First Governor Rendell spoke, followed by Mayor Nutter.  Then Hillary spoke for approximately 15-20 minutes.  The whole event was pretty simple, short and to the point.  There was way less "rah! rah! rah!" than I had anticipated... which was good.  I liked the topics she discussed... like student loans, dependency on oil, fixing foreign relations, and health care issues to name a few. 

Rally

Hillary Clinton is having a rally right across the street from where I work, tonight.  I have never been to a rally before... so I'm thinking it would be really cool to check it out.  I will probably go to it.

Good Bye Red Room

My parents are here.  We have spent a lot of time painting the red room.  It will soon be a blue room.  It is taking a lot of work... it first needed a full coat of gray primer.  Wow, we are still working on it right now, but I'm taking a break.

We went to the Sabres/Flyers game on Tuesday and it was really good.  Because we won!  Nah, that's not the only reason.  We were with a couple of fun people and stopped out afterwards at a nice bar. 

My parents are coming to visit tonight.  I took tomorrow off, so they'll stay over through early Monday morning.  Haven't seen them since December 2nd when we were moving in to our house!  Should be a fun weekend.  It's looking like the weather isn't going to cooperate though.... too bad, it has been pretty nice here lately. 

Snowiest Airport

I was on weather.com, and saw a link to a video about the country's snowiest airport.  I thought, could it be Buffalo?  Yup, of course!  I wonder if it really is though, or if they just wrote that to get attention.  Most of the story is about de-icing planes and there's a commercial first.   Click here for the video
