Phillies WIN!!!!

Thanks for wishing us luck.  WOW!!!!  Phillies WIN!!!!  People are out on the corner with their kids banging pots with spoons.  One kid wore his pot out!  I mean, hole in a pot.  Walk down the street and there were a hundred people (majority were high school age) cheering.  Cars packed with people are driving by and honking.  Kids banging on the cars.  So great!!!  I was waving a rally towel in each hand and jumping around like a nut.  WOOOOOOO!! 

Happy Anniversary to Drew and me.  3 years today.  WOW.  It is so exciting.  I am gonna go finish my beer now.  YAY!!! 

Here we go again

We're about to head out for the remainder of the suspended Phillies game.  Wish our team luck! 

Sleepy

I want to write a big long post about last weekend.  But, I also want to sleep.  These 8/8:30pm World Series games are wearing me down!  No doubt you all heard about yesterday's terrible weather and how the game had to be suspended.  It's the first time EVER that a World Series game had to be suspended for any reason.  The rain and wind has been crazy all day!  Let's hope that tomorrow (weather permitting) the Phillies win!  I am glad they didn't resume play tonight because I'm off to bed.  G'nite. 

Upcoming craziness

Tomorrow I work a half day.  Then Drew and I are off to NYC!  We're staying with Caroline and Mike Friday night.  On Saturday, we're going to see the musical In the Heights on Broadway.  So excited - it will be awesome!  We have to miss watching a World Series game though.  Oh yeah, the reason we're going to NYC is to celebrate our 3rd anniversary!  Sunday morning we will wake up early and take Amtrak back to Philly.  We are going to the Eagles game that afternoon.  Drew won tickets through a Miller Lite promotion.  Free tix and 3 free beers each.  It will be crazy at the game, and the energy will continue through the night because of the Phillies game.  Should be fun! 

World Series

begins tonight!!!!  Go Phillies!  Everyone is very excited... the city is pumped!! 

Weekend

The weekend is over.  It was pretty laid back, and went too quickly.  On Saturday we went to a nearby winery and did a wine tasting.  That was fun... never did that before.  We went out to eat a couple times, and then on Sunday evening we cooked a really tasty meal at home.  We watched a couple Sabres games over the internet, watched a little baseball, planted tulips, and hung up halloween decorations.  On Saturday night we made a fire in our fire pit for the first time.

My parents will be here very soon.  I'll leave work in an hour and then weekend!

And Lindy Ruff won his 400th game as a coach!   Sabres are 3-0.

Hockey Mom

The first Flyers game.  The "Ultimate Hockey Mom" earned the right to drop the first puck.  Sure she dropped it, but with the help of the "Nation's most popular hockey mom" -- Sarah Palin.  It's not like this was the first hockey game of the season, it was just the first Flyers (who happen to be in swing state Pennsylvania) game.  What was the reaction?  Well, watch the video. 

Grrrr, this bloggy

This blog is hosted on Typepad.  I am gradually getting more and more frustrated with it.  Their "improvements" totally aren't good.  The photo album feature is outdated... which is why I don't use it any more.  I can't even view my webpage right now!!!  That is unacceptable.  Seriously, we may be switching our blog provider.... we are paying for this crapiness afterall!!  I just don't want to lose my past blogging history. 

Visits and a Wedding

Time for an update.  And of course there is a lot to catch up on.  I may do this in pieces. 

Melinda came to Philadelphia to visit!!  Actually, she arrived Wednesday, Sept 24th.  I took a day off on Thursday and we spent it in the city sight seeing.  She got to experience the train, as well as a trolley, bus and subway.  We saw all the old historic stuff, and walked through basically every area of the city worth visiting.  Our feet were sore.  Melinda made a photo album here.  On Friday, we visited Temple's campus before meeting Drew, hopping in the car and driving to Buffalo.  The drive wasn't bad, no traffic for once!  Made it just in time for Amanda's wedding rehearsal!

Amanda and John's wedding was very nice.  The reception was at the Statler Towers in Buffalo.  Food was good, music was good, and as usual it was another fun wedding!  I made a photo album of pictures that you can also see in the slide show below.
